Mona Oraby presented “Indigeneity and the Native,” a draft chapter of her in-progress book entitled Fictions of Disgust: Classification and the Human in Contemporary Literature. The chapter offers a reading of a Louise Erdrich novel to explore the elastic contours of Native membership and its non-statist conceptions of justice.
